The three-day CWP2026 (China Wind Power) has come to a successful close. As a solution provider focused on core drive train components for wind turbines, JUNHUAN showcased live samples of its three-row roller main bearing and three-row roller pitch bearing. The company’s main-shaft-free compact drive train solution earned recognition from both OEM engineering teams and wind farm owners on the exhibition floor.
Instant traction: live samples draw the crowds
From day one, the JUNHUAN booth was busy and stayed that way. The live main bearing and pitch bearing drew steady crowds, as the team delivered back-to-back walkthroughs of the compact drive train. Each session made the space savings, high reliability and strong load capacity of the main-shaft-free design easy to see. OEM technical leads and wind farm owners stopped to listen, and the questions kept coming — covering everything from shaft system design principles to real-world maintenance performance, from multi-megawatt suitability to retrofit feasibility for existing turbines.
Decoupled design: three roller rows, three clear jobs
JUNHUAN does not position itself as a single-component supplier. Acting as a drive train solution designer, the company engineers the three-row roller main bearing from a whole-system perspective to deliver a genuinely different drive train solution.
The bearing features a decoupled design: one radial roller row carries the radial load, while two axial roller rows handle the bidirectional axial load and tilting moment. Each of the three rows has a clear job and works without interfering with the others. Every row is independently designed for its optimal load path, which raises load capacity and reliability at the same time.
Built around this bearing, the compact drive train eliminates the main shaft. This removes the root causes of raceway creep, fretting, axial displacement and shaft fracture at the source, cutting shaft system failure probability by more than 90%. With a simpler shaft system, the solution supports no-precision-bolt assembly — no high-precision hole alignment is required, which eases mounting and shortens installation time. Overall weight is reduced by more than 80%, and the solution fits multi-megawatt turbines of 5 MW and above.
Space, reliability and cost — breakthroughs that benefit both sides
The value of the solution sits in three dimensions:
– Space: removing the main shaft simplifies the shaft system and makes the nacelle layout more compact, leaving design margin for even larger turbines.
– Reliability: eliminating shaft system failure modes at the source cuts failure probability dramatically, reducing unplanned downtime and maintenance frequency.
– Cost: no-precision-bolt assembly eases mounting and shortens installation, while the lighter weight reduces transport and lifting costs further.
For OEMs, the compact drive train moves turbines toward higher power output and greater integration, helping them stay competitive as the industry scales up. For owners, the reliability and light weight translate directly into steadier generation revenue and lower operating expenditure. That is exactly why the bearing earned praise from both sides.
Three days of exchange: from design alignment to retrofit solutions
Throughout the three-day show, the JUNHUAN booth never lacked visitors. From drive train design alignment with OEMs to retrofit discussions with wind farm operators, the team explored industry pain points and practical solutions with every visitor: main bearing selection for multi-megawatt turbines, drive train upgrade paths for existing machines, and the higher reliability demands of offshore units — earning industry recognition through cutting-edge technology.
